Leadership is a process as well as an attribute, which is best
described by a single word “Pursuit”. Smart leaders know that this is the
single characteristic that makes them standout from others.
They are passionate about the process of seeking what next, what
change and why not, basically challenging status quo. They get never satisfied
with optimum and seek excellence with elegance. They constantly challenge the
current status, dare to dream, think something bigger than themselves and
translate the dream into plan. They collaborate and communicate seeking
wisdom.
“Pursuit” that makes or breaks the organization. Lack of pursuit makes
truth nebulous, knowledge irrelevant, talent obsolete, process incoherent,
network desolate and existence a big question mark.
Pursuit is a present continuous verb for smart leaders. Relentless pursuit
is the single most attribute for a leader to do justice to the leadership role.
