Asking Questions...

Quite a few times, I see hesitance among the audience to ask questions, be it a team meeting, or a workshop, or a seminar, or a presentation. I am sure that everyone must have experienced the same sometime or other.

Asking questions is not a fluffy or boisterous attitude, as many may perceive it. Asking questions in fact is the sign of an inquisitive mind, a healthy mind. It not only shows one’s interest in the subject matter and the point of conversation, but also it demonstrates interest in the individual(s) participating in the conversation. It breaks the monologue and creates a dialogue whereby the participants get an opportunity to engage in sharing their mental notes. And this engagement of thought process creates a respectable relationship among the participants.

Asking questions hence, does not make one seem dumb. Rather it is otherwise. In fact, genius even ask questions…
