Quite a few times, I see hesitance among the audience to ask
questions, be it a team meeting, or a workshop, or a seminar, or a
presentation. I am sure that everyone must have experienced the same sometime
or other.
Asking questions is not a fluffy or boisterous attitude, as many may
perceive it. Asking questions in fact is the sign of an inquisitive mind, a
healthy mind. It not only shows one’s interest in the subject matter and the
point of conversation, but also it demonstrates interest in the individual(s)
participating in the conversation. It breaks the monologue and creates a
dialogue whereby the participants get an opportunity to engage in sharing their
mental notes. And this engagement of thought process creates a respectable relationship
among the participants.
Asking questions hence, does not make one seem dumb. Rather it is otherwise.
In fact, genius even ask questions…
