Communication is one of those key tools to connect with the employees.
Email, town-hall address, weekly meetings, reviews, leadership forums and many
other methods are being used to make communication meaningful. With social
media for enterprise, it opens another door, where communication happens in an
interactive manner across the hierarchy.
Larger companies have challenge in terms of scale to reach out to all
employees across divisions and geographies. Smaller companies have bigger
challenge in terms of quality and content of communication in a way to bring in
human touch embedded in the communication format.
Communication clarifies the vision and direction of the company,
aligns all employees to a common goal, clarifies any doubt in the mind and
answers those troublesome questions and withers away any skepticism.
And there is nothing wrong in over communicating. Rather smaller the
company, over communication is better to make it more effective.
